Dave’s Hot Chicken is 🔥🔥🔥 Employees were awesome, very friendly and helped explain the menu, asked about our meal, chatted with us at various times when we asked about the food, murals etc they have. We love that they had murals on many of the walls dedicated to the local McKinney HS! The food was amazing. Pretty sure I can cut Raising Canes and Chick-fil-A out of my life by coming here instead!! 😂😂😂 The sauce was really good, and the loaded fries… nom nom nom nom 🤤 The Two slider w/fries and a standard order of the loaded fries was more than enough for our family of 3… highly recommend you to check it out and make sure to sign up for their rewards program if you do! We will 100% be including this into our regular rotation of places to eat.
Incredible turnaround, they actually listened ! 2 months ago their chicken was ALWAYS dry or burnt or over cooked. I was ready to drop them and never come back. I let them know in a review and they invited me back with a coupon. I’m happy to say it was delicious, the chicken was juicy, cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly. 10/10 very well done guys !!!! Today was my first time trying this place, and let me tell you, the food is AMAZING!! The chicken is juicy and full of flavor with the right amount of spice. I love it! Going back for sure.
This was our second visit and we loved it! The chicken sliders were amazing, and the flavor was spot on. Big shout-out to John for his great service — he really made the experience even better. Definitely recommend this location if you’re in McKinney!
I visited this Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time today and was amazed by the level of customer service from Mark. This guy is a gem and he really stood out as someone who genuinely cares about the people he’s serving. You can see he treats the place like it’s his own, taking pride in every interaction and making sure customers leave happy.
Good chicken sandwiches and sliders and tenders. Mac and cheese and the kale slaw were good. Good option for dinner or lunch.
My son and I love Dave’s but this location is the best we have been to so far. Great food, excellent service and super friendly atmosphere. John W helped us today. Super friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered our standard order but he suggested a honey twist on it. Was not wrong!! Thanks
They do a few things here and they do them well! Hot and Extra Hot are just enough to get your nose running. The staff here was super friendly and was constantly asking if I needed anything.
This was my first time to this location. Very clean as I was the only one there. Service was fast and food was good. Place was very clean. Overall it is expensive. I paid 16$ and didn’t even get a drink. Downloaded the app and it’s a challenge. Note that I work for App Development of restaurants and this locations competitors. I could not get my receipt uploaded which is not the apps fault but the loyalty company punchh. So disappointing experience with earning points via scan of receipt.
This is our fifth time visiting Dave’s Hot Chicken. The fried chicken is always cooked perfectly and never dry. The spice levels are excellent, offering great options for both non-spicy eaters and spice lovers. The chicken pieces, whether in the sliders or tenders, are always a generous size and very satisfying. The staff are all super friendly. One time we were debating whether to try the hottest chicken, and I think the manager offered to cook a small piece for us to sample since it’s extremely spicy. It really was very, very spicy, and I’m glad he let us try it first. For me, the medium is just right: flavorful, spicy, but still comfortable. Overall, if you’re looking for truly spicy fried chicken, Dave’s Hot Chicken is a great choice.
